Hard On for Jesus — The Dandy Warhols

It seems to me The Dandy Warhols are less respected than other psych (or pop-psych) bands and in some ways I can understand that. They’ve put out an uneven catalog at best and their lead singer has the reputation of being a major dick—not exactly the way to win friends and influence people.

But I defy anyone to tell me this song isn’t straight up amazing. When that synth line kicks in the first time it’s like being sucked back to the late 60’s. Even though it doesn’t get a lot of attention (probably because of the name) I think this is by far and away one of their best songs.
